About this campaign
Reach is a community vaccine clinic outreach tool. The pharmacy team is calling
senior living communities, assisted-living facilities, hospitals, churches, and senior centers across
Hillsborough County (Tampa Bay) to schedule on-site vaccine clinics. A licensed CVS pharmacist
drives out to a facility, sets up in a small room, and immunizes everyone who wants a shot.
Why it matters. Most adults on this list face real barriers to getting vaccinated — mobility,
transportation, schedule, or just the friction of leaving the building. Vaccines that protect against flu,
COVID, RSV, shingles, and pneumonia exist and are sitting at our pharmacy right now. Bringing them on-site is
often the only realistic way some of these residents will get them this season. Every clinic on the books
means more people protected. That's the entire point.
What you're doing. Working through the verified call list and inviting these facilities to
host a clinic. You're not selling. There's no cost to the host — CVS covers everything (pharmacist, vaccines,
supplies, billing). Most calls hit voicemail; a clear voicemail counts as progress. When someone picks up,
the script walks you through the conversation line by line. If they say yes, you capture a callback contact
and the pharmacy team takes it from there.
What success looks like. Every facility on the list either booked, on follow-up, or
politely declined — with the team's contact captured for next season. The 4/30 internal deadline is for
attempt, not for closing. You're connecting people, not chasing numbers.
Quick reference — what these mean
Priority pills
P1Top priority — highest-impact (large senior community, hospital, faith community with strong reach).
P2Standard priority — solid prospect, worth a call within the campaign window.
P3Lower priority — longer shot or smaller potential reach. Save for time after P1/P2 are worked.
Facility types you'll see
CCRCContinuing Care Retirement Community — multi-level on one campus: independent living → assisted living → skilled nursing.
ALFAssisted Living Facility — residents need help with daily activities but aren't in nursing-level care.
SNFSkilled Nursing Facility — higher-acuity residents requiring nursing-level care (sometimes called "snif").
Memory careSpecialized ALF wing for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's.
55+ communityAge-restricted independent living — residents are fully independent, no clinical care on site.

Billing models — let them pick
- Insurance only — CVS bills participant insurance; uninsured pays
- Direct bill — Org pays via voucher (best when they have uninsured)
- Insurance + Direct bill — Most flexible, voucher backstops

For new callers
You don't need to be a clinical expert. If someone asks a clinical or billing question you don't know, the magic words are: "Great question — let me have one of our pharmacists call you back about that specifically."
Take down their callback number, log it in your notes, and one of the pharmacists will follow up. Most calls go to voicemail anyway — every voicemail you leave is progress.
The "If you need help" section in each call view has tested objection responses and scripts. Open it before your first few calls so you know your moves.
